This English style of training is focused on the horse and rider clearing obstacles. In competition hunter courses emphasize style, while jumper courses tend to be more complex and objective.
Dressage is a French term meaning “training” and its purpose is to develop the horse’s natural athletic ability and willingness to work making him calm, supple and attentive to his rider.
Instructors from Bennridge Farms and Foxlair West have organized week-long summer camps to introduce children and teens to riding and equestrian training. Whether your child is a beginner or has ridden before, a summer camp is a great way to get back into fundamentals of riding, caring for horses, and making friends!
