Kelly has been in the horse business literally her whole life! She started with pony rides at the age of two and was in the show ring on her first pony, Sugar N Spice (aka Taffy) by the age of four. At six years old she had her first show pony, Liseter Gamecock and shortly thereafter started catch-riding some of the nicest ponies in the Northeast.
Kelly moved through the ranks as a junior and equitation rider, and has had the opportunity to ride with several well-known and respected trainers. By far her biggest influence in riding came from her late mother, Lois Tighe, who taught her that patience and teaching the horse and rider the correct way from the ground up builds a solid foundation. It is that foundation and the relationship with the horse that will make you a happy and successful horseman.
As a professional in San Diego, her students have enjoyed a great deal of success both in and out of the horse show arena. Her clients have numerous wins at various horse show levels throughout Southern California. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for GSDHJA.
Education: BA, Organizational Psychology, University of Illinois at Chicago

Greg grew up riding in France, and began his U.S. riding career in Seattle, WA. He has worked for several trainers throughout the West Coast while refining his skills with young and developing horses and as an instructor. Greg teaches the American Forward Riding system and is a loyal follower of longtime USET jumping chef d’equipe George Morris. With horses, that translates to a big emphasis on flat work. “When you do your homework on the flat, then your horse is learning pretty quickly over the jumps,” Greg explains. Horses in his program are trained to be very sensitive to leg and rein aids. “I teach a horse to be forward first and soft in the mouth. I want him to be responsive to my leg and to not fight my hand. It’s pretty simple.” He has also completed the United States Hunter Jumper Assn. Trainer Certificate Program.
With his patient riding and teaching style, he's a welcome asset to the FLW team and Seabreeze Farms!
